For those who know the brand from Malaysia or Thailand, this won’t be a surprise: MOVE has been building steadily toward this market since international expansion began. For those encountering MOVE for the first time — here’s what the studio is, what it stands for, and what it means for private training in Singapore.
What MOVE is — and what it isn’t
MOVE is a private personal training studio. Every session is one-on-one, by appointment, in a dedicated space designed for focused work. There are no gym memberships, no group classes, no shared floor time. Every client trains with a dedicated coach — the same coach, every session — in a relationship built over time. See what that looks like in practice.
It isn’t the cheapest option in the market. It isn’t trying to be. The model is built around a specific kind of client: someone who is serious about making lasting change, wants coaching that extends beyond the hour, and values the relationship over the transaction.
The Live More Kickstarter — MOVE’s three-session assessment programme — is how every coaching relationship begins. Before a single workout is prescribed, your coach spends three sessions understanding your baseline: your body, your schedule, your habits, your real goal. That’s what makes the programme that follows actually fit your life. Read more about how it works.
From Melaka to Singapore
MOVE started in 2020 in a 1,200 square-foot space in Melaka. Not the obvious launchpad for a brand with international ambitions. But the model proved itself quickly — private, appointment-based, coach-driven, holistic — and expansion into Kuala Lumpur followed.
Today, MOVE operates studios across Malaysia and Thailand, with a network of branch coaches who carry the same culture and standards across every location. The Bangkok expansion confirmed that the model translates across markets and cultures. Singapore is the newest chapter — and it’s already underway.
Why Singapore
Singapore has a mature, quality-conscious fitness market. Its residents — locals, expats, senior professionals, ambitious parents — understand the value of a coaching relationship and are willing to invest in it.
The market isn’t underserved. Singapore has excellent fitness options. But there’s a specific gap that MOVE fills: a private studio experience that combines the intimacy and continuity of a dedicated coaching relationship with the kind of holistic, lifestyle-integrated support that produces lasting change. Nobody in this market is building education into the coaching system the way MOVE does — not just claiming it, but structuring it into every session. That’s the differentiation. See who we serve.
What Singapore clients can expect
The experience is the same as in KL and Bangkok, delivered in Singapore’s context. Clients begin with a thorough assessment — not a form, but a genuine conversation about health history, lifestyle, goals and constraints. From there, a programme is designed specifically for that person and delivered by a dedicated coach.
Sessions are appointment-based, in private studio spaces in Singapore’s key residential and professional corridors. Between sessions, the coaching relationship continues: check-ins, lifestyle guidance and programme adjustments happen outside the studio as well as within it.
